I’m Fighting Back

There are not a lot of fancy words, clever words or humorous phrases in this post.

I am here to give ammunition to those that are in a spiritual battle. I know that if you are a Christian, you will face spiritual warfare at one time or another. This post is for those that are feeling attacked right now.

The Bible says that the thief comes to kill, steal and destroy. And he will choose a time when you are down to make his move to come in for the kill. It is up to you to have on your armor!!!

“Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.”  Ephesians 6:10

This chapter in the Bible is full of jewels! Read it for yourself! It says to take up your shield of faith to resist the fiery darts of the enemy. I take that to mean to stand on your faith in God and DON’T FALTER even when you feel unsure. Keep the faith in the words God has given us in His word that we are more than conquerors….  that we are chosen by God and beautiful in His eyes! Keep the faith that we are overcomers through Him!

Next, He says our weapon is the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God!  Read and memorize scriptures to use against the enemy in your battle!

I am dealing with some physical issues, so I have felt pretty crummy for several months now. It kind of wears you down.

Last week, I seriously felt attacked! I have been in a good state of mind. I have worked hard on positive self-talk and affirmations. I feel like I have grown so much in my walk with God and generally, life has been good.  So, why so depressed and distraught all of a sudden? I kept hearing these words in my head, “you are such a loser. Why can’t you get your act together? You are  never  going to accomplish your goals and dreams in life or in your ministry. Your friends and family are fed up with having to deal with you and your emotions and would be better off if you weren’t even around.”

After dealing with that for three days, I was just so fed up with it, that I declared that those words are just not true!  God has already given me victory over the enemy so it is time to use my shield and sword to fight back and take back MY victory!  Not going to be the victim!

I looked up verses and wrote them out as I said them out loud over and over!!! If I am going to be attacked, I am not going to take it laying down!

Be bold.

 Be strong.

Be brave in Christ!

Fight back!
