{March 15, 2014} ~

My cup is FULL.
Life is good.
Blessed beyond measure.

Rewind one year….

{March 15, 2013} ~

I came home after lunch that Friday. I changed into my pj’s, crawled into bed and pulled the cover over my head.

I was empty.

If you know me or have read any of my blogs, you know that there had been a series of events over the months preceding with my husband’s cancer and finally culminating with the week before when my mother-in-law passed away, my son had a baseball injury that landed us at Children’s Hospital and another situation that had placed an enormous amount of anxiety and stress on my plate. I had been strong and taken care of everyone and everything. I had reached the point where there was nothing left to give.

Worn out.

I needed a break physically, mentally and emotionally. So that’s what I did.

Yes, I stayed in bed–in the same pajamas-no shower-no hair or teeth-brushing-until Sunday night! (An entire weekend!) Ate an occasional bowl of cereal.

That’s it. Done.

Fast forward exactly one year later….

I stood on the stage this weekend, at church, and sang about praising God for ALL of the things that he has done for me. I sang along with the choir about how God can feel an empty vessel!!!

How amazing!!!

That’s not coincidence!

If you are going through difficult times right now, please be encouraged by my story!

God is able!

God is faithful!

He is a friend like no other.

He can fill your empty vessel.

If you are going through difficulties right now, find SOMETHING to thank God for….. Even if the only thing you can think of is that your heart is beating and you have air to breathe!

I’m full!

Thank you God!

[Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30 NLT)]
